The Volcanic Heritage: Acatenango La Asuncion Cooperative

From the celebrated coffee lands of Guatemala comes one of our newest offerings - beans from the La Asuncion Cooperative in the Acatenango region. This area, renowned among coffee enthusiasts worldwide, offers some of Guatemala's most distinctive growing conditions.

The Region

The Acatenango valley, nestled in Guatemala's volcanic region, is famous for its exceptional coffee-growing environment. The mineral-rich volcanic soil, combined with the region's unique microclimate, creates ideal conditions for developing complex, flavorful coffee beans.

The Coffee

We source these special beans through our supplier Hacea Coffee, who works with the La Asuncion Cooperative. The cooperative's farmers maintain traditional cultivation practices in this remarkable region, where generations of coffee-growing expertise meet modern quality standards.
